Black Spectrum Theatre – The Adventures of Kid Zero
Feb. 13th – Feb. 16th - A musical play dedicated to the appreciation and advancement of Mathematics.  For elementary students: 1 Teacher free for every 20 students.  Help develop your students love for math. Afrikan Poetry Theatre - Open Poetry Reading Until June 2008
The return of the traditional Poetry Reading at APT. Poet, activist, and educator George Edward Tait, known as the Poet Laureate of Harlem, will host an Open Mic series on the Third Friday of every Month, concluding June 20, 2008.  During the Seventies, George Edward Tait, became one of the primary progenitors of poetry presentations by producing the legendary seven year series Black Words for a Wednesday Night for 360 continuous weeks. This special event at APT is an open call to the countless conscious and seasoned scribes to add their artistry to what promises to be a memorable series. APT SANKOFA SCHOOL - CALLING ALL PARENTS, TEACHERS AND CONCERNED COMMUNITY MEMBERS!!! – The international Peoples Democratic Uhuru Movement presents an Afrikan Saturday School at the Afrikan Poetry Theater.  Geared toward arming our youth with knowledge and strength of self in addition to overall tools for success.  This virtually free 8-week program will teach our children and young adults about cooperative economics, self-determination, collective work and responsibility.  Enrollment has begun!  For more information call Yvonne @917-513-4107.  We are also looking for volunteers.  Remember it takes a village to raise a child. APT - Musical Instrument Instruction – Tuesdays & Wednesdays
Musical Instrument Instruction with the Bill Jacobs Ensemble; offering music classes to the community in the following disciplines: Beginning Piano & Guitar…Sessions! Documentary: "Black Ice--The Lost History of the Colored Hockey League of the Maritimes, 1895-1925". Authors George and Darril Fosty, with Underground Railroad historian Drakeford Levi, discuss this lost history of the sons/grandsons of runaway American slaves who formed a "colored hockey league," pioneering the sport of ice hockey.
